Why yoga classes reserved for men?
Yoga is a discipline often associated with flexibility, calm, and a zen attitude. As a result, the majority of students in this type of courses are women, who are generally more comfortable with this kind of practice. Men often see themselves as too stiff, too tense, too impatient. For them, yoga can be off-putting because they feel they are not at the right level, they fear being judged, or they imagine they will be bored during this kind of practice.
The aim of this class is to realize that, we men do have strengths when it comes to practicing yoga, such as muscular strength, and that we too can benefit from the practice on a physical, mental, and emotional level.
What are the benefits of yoga that are particularly interesting for a male audience?
- Improved flexibility is one of the key points, as it helps develop greater everyday well-being.
- For athletes, yoga helps reduce the risk of injury, supports recovery, and enhances performance.
- Yoga also helps develop better concentration and better emotional management.
